Well with a year of weddings in 2008 Mr Love & Mr Brayne didn’t let the lads down on their respective stag do’s. With a weekend of horse racing in Chester and night’s out in Liverpool and Chester, both groups certainly had a good laugh at the stag’s expense !
Will’s party of merry men started with a breakfast at the Oak then off in a mini bus to Chester only to be stopped on the M6 toll road by the police for taking a leak on the hard shoulder !
Kevin’s started at Nuneaton train station and ended with him in a dress complete with make up and hair do !! Here Alan Brayne displays some of the underwear outfits worn through the weekend !
Bananaman unpacking after another successful mission !!
Just to let you all know that Dennis’s lad is planning a series of nights down at The Crown (upstairs) Bond Street, Nuneaton, playing Rock n Roll, Psych, 60’s pop, Soul, Beat, Ska & R&B.
At only £3 to get in they will be good nights if you like good music, planned dates are 26th July and 23rd August.
Special thanks to Chico for organising this event, a good time had by all and supported by people from Warwick, Birmingham, Tamworth, Coventry and around the Midlands area.
Sets from Chico, Mark Freeman and Les Norman certainly had them filling the dance floor - superb night, watch out for more Northern at the Oak in forthcoming months.
The 3rd annual Hartshill FC Golf Open day will take place on the 25th July 2008. Teams of 4 must register before Friday July 11th - limited place available so be quick as last few teams available.
This year it will be played at the Stonebridge course near Meriden and with 15 teams of 4 balls, it should be a great day out. Day starts with a breakfast and coffee before Teeing off around 9.30am. A round of golf then back to the club house for a few pints and a dinner, followed by the presentations and a few more beers.
A coach will be available for those wishing not to drive, please enquire behind the bar for details.
Sunday 22nd June 2008 saw the 2nd Annual Nuneaton Pacemakers Alldayer event, held in the Royal Marquee at the Royal Oak, Hartshill. This charity event raised money for the Coventry & Warwickshire Air Ambulance - a worthy cause in anyone’s book. Scooterists came from all over the Midlands area to be part of the event which raised around £800 for the charity - a big thank you for all those that made the effort to come along.
